New Delhi : The Supreme Court’s Environmental Pollution Control Committee (EPCA) has said that diesel vehicles and the thermal plants should be closed in Delhi. The committee, headed by retired bureaucrat Bhure Lal, has suggested this. On the other hand, during a hearing of the case, the Supreme Court asked the same committee to prepare the overall action plan to deal with pollution.

EPCA says that it should be written on vehicles how old they are and how much pollution is spreading from them. Vehicles that have become dangerous, should be restricted in the National Capital Region. EPCA has prepared its report to deal with the hazardous situation in the capital. The committee also said that the analysis of weather forecasts should be accurate, so that if the threat appears it can be planned to tackle it. The Government of Delhi has also been pulled up in the report. The committee says that buses in Delhi are not enough. The use of the generator in the NCR has been banned, but how it will be effective when there is no availability of electricity.
