By Vkeel Team

Election Commission is declaring dates for President of India Election on Wednesday. Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi told in the press conference, “The current President Pranab Mukherjee’s tenure ends on July 24. Before that, voting will be done on 17th July and counting on July 20. For the presidential election, there is a secret ballot voting.” NDA’s position for the presidential election is strong after the assembly elections of 5 states. NDA needs only 20 thousand votes to make President of their choice. For that, he needs those non-NDA and non-UPA parties, who have not decided which way they will go. Their vote share is about 13%. The same vote will decide who the next president will be of choice. What else did the commission say?

  • Chief Election Commissioner said that political parties can not issue any whip to their members and assembly members about the presidential election. Counting of votes will be held in Delhi. The Election Commission will announce the winner of the presidential election.
  • He said that 13 seats of the Rajya Sabha and the Assembly are vacant. The decision on the 10 seats in the Rajya Sabha will be taken after the presidential election.

The value of the votes of MPs is certain, but the value of votes of legislators depends on the population of different states.
As the price of a legislator from Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in the country, is 208, then Sikkim‘s vote value is only seven in the least populous state.
The value of each MP’s vote is 708.
There are 776 MPs in India now. 543 Lok Sabha MPs and 233 Rajya Sabha MPs.
The total value of votes of 776 MPs is 5,49,408 (about five and a half million)
Number of legislators in India is 4120
The collective vote of all these legislators is 5,49,474 (about five and a half million)
