My friend is a student residing in Jammu and Kashmir, he got a bike accident with a friend, now the owner of the bike is demanding him money to pay for that damage to repair the bike, but also, the owner gave him a police threat. Now, aside from the supposedly amount to pay to the bike owner, he has bills to pay also to the police who handle the case. He doesn't have a proper job as he was still studying, and can't pay those amounts in full. The owner doesn't agree with installment payment. Now, the police bills are also running and adding to the amount. Is there any ways or options for my friend to settle with the bike owner, to have him paid the amount but not in that kind of way, so pressuring, that also this time of pandemic looking for a job is very difficult?

he needs not to make any payment it was a accident the owner should have to claim this amount from the insurance company I cannot threat you for any type of case or demand of money as the motorcycle was given by himself for driving
