HYDERABAD

A registered rental lease deed is executed between me and my tenant. The tenant was a proprietor firm at the time of registration of the deed. Now, they are converting it into a private firm. They have requested me to give a NOC certificate for them to get a new GST number. Is it ok to give NOC? What happens to my lease deed since the firm status changed from the proprietor to private.

Giving NOC means losing your right from getting it vacated. If you think in those terms. If you intend to give NOC change the terms in the Rent Deed also reserving Your Right for eviction under the changed circumstances of status of the firm from Sole Proprietorship to that of Partnership.
