you can move to the court if your application has been rejected by the department
Dear Sir, There is time limit to get job on compassionate grounds. Please check with State Service Rules.
Compassionate Appointment are given based on person number of years employment and financial background. if your father expired few years before is retirement. Then there is chance . But in case your father died near his retirement you won't be getting his job even if you are unemployed. Going to High Court won't help you. There is a popular belief among general Public by filing Writ Petition one can get relief , which is not correct . Contact Some Advocate who deals in exclusive cases like appointments for relief.
