I hired a interior work contractor 6-7 months back for the renovation of my house. We paid them for the work in installments. During the work, we found that material and quality of the work in not as per the expectation, so we asked for the estimates/bills for work done. The provided estimate for the work was very high, so we decided not to go forward with the work that has not been started and asked them to complete pending work only. After lot of discussion, agreement was made and I provided a PDC but still work has not been started by them. What should I do

Dear Sir, You may get issue a legal notice and get back your money along with damages and get the work assign to some other interior contractor.

if the agreement has been executed, you are advised to send the contractor a legal notice through a lawyer to perform his part of the agreement and also warn him to claim damages in case of noncompliance to the agreement.
