Sir/Madam, My mother wants to claim share in her father's property (Karnataka) . Her father was died in the year of 1992, thereafter, along with my mother's brothers her name is also registered as joint holder in the land record (RTC). Is she can claim share in the property. If yes, How much? and If not, Why?

According to the Hindu Succession (Amendment)Act 2005, daughters have equal rights like sons in the ancestral property. If the mother of your mother is alive then in that case she will also be a co-sharer and the property in question Will be equally divided among your mother's mother,her brother and your mother.

She gets equal share as like a male.. if only ur mom and one uncle for ur maternal grandpa, then they both have 50% share.. if grandma is alive each of them gets 1/3 share..
