Our agriculture land(rural area) which is coming under the govt.dam project has been earmarked for acquisition. The district collector has already issued the notification for land acquisition and has also sent offer letter but the per hectare rate in the letter is mentioned as per the collector guidelines while the market value is much higher. Apart from purchase price the govt. is also giving 100% solatium.
We have already registered our objection in writing but even after a year no award is made. As per LARR act the purchase price should be the market value multiplied by factor of 2 for rural area plus 100% solatium plus R & R compensation.
Since it is a govt. project we can not go to district court. I have even filed an RTI and first appeal as well but no reply from land acquisition dept. till date.
Can govt. forcibly acquire land even at less purchase price.
Where should I appeal for the remedy for less purchase price and compensation being offered to us?
Please suggest a way forward.
