Lockdown Order By State Govt. Vs Order Issued By BDO | Vkeel - Free Legal Advice

I am Susamoy Mandal, a Gram Panchayat employee under the Department of Panchayat and rural development, West Bengal. State Govt. has issued a lockdown notification regarding corona in which Gram Panchayat office is not included in the exception/exemption list. But my immediate higher authority Block Dev. Officer and many other Block Dev. officers have issued an order for attending office on a daily basis mainly for implementing a newly launched pension scheme namely Jai Bangla by state govt which in my opinion is not essential work. Which order should I follow either lockdown notification or BDO's order? My personal concern is I am a chronic patient of bronchial asthma and so very vulnerable to the corona attack that leads to my death. I have informed my BDO but he ignored seeing my medical report and has said I have to go office until I submit a medically unfit certificate. What should I do? I want legal advice.

Dear Sir, You have to approach the High Court online through your advocate and also concerned Minister and higher officers only on the health ground.

Second u can ask in writing that whether gram Panchayat need to follow lockdown or to open the office BDO will not say to open the office

you need not to attend the office BDO is not above centre government and state government . when government has ordered for lockdown then other order will not be followed
