We were staying in a rented property and want to vacate. Our owner is threatening us that he will deduct rent till December for the deposit. Can we issue a legal notice? The rental agreement has expired, we didn't renew it. But there is a clause that the owner should return us the money on the expiry of the agreement or on the vacation of the property.

what about the notice period clause in the agreement? you can vacate the premises after giving a notice as per the rent agreement
