You are legal wife and have all rights of a wife.
marriage before notary public is not valid but this document can prove your relationship and you can file a suit for domestic violence as well as claim maintenance
Hi Anindita, If you are a Hindu, Saptapadi, i.e., 7 pheras are mandatory for a valid marriage and marriage agreement is the next step. If you have not done the first step, second step is invalid. Also, the agreement needs to be executed before the Registrar with certain proof of the marriage and 2 witnesses Best,
The said Agreement is not valid in eye of law and it has no legal sanctity. You will not get any advantage from out of the same. In order to have legal sanctity to your marriage, it has to be registered before Registrar of Marriages in presence of two witnesses by following due process as stipulated in your State.
It is no document at all in the eyes of law. This document is absolutely of no value. The marriage has got to be registered with the Registrar of Marriages. Please give me Rank Five, follow me after reviewing my resume and contact me telephonically for further discussion and/or explanation if required.
