If one party dragged on the proceedings in any case in lower court u can file a direction petition u/a 227. seeking disposal of a case within a time frame.. As per the COPRA act consumer cases to be disposed within 6 months.. however u cannot go now. if the problem continues go for it after one year from next hearing..

Better engage a lawyer or strongly try to object the forum when they keep on adjourning at the request/default of the other side.. You can seek a direction in High court to dispose the case expeditiously under Art 227. but not now.. after a year u can, if they continues to procrastinate the case..
