Ownership Transfer Through Registered Sale Deed

I am writing to seek clarification and guidance on a matter concerning an ancestral agricultural land located in Mandya District, Karnataka. My great-grandfather had purchased an agricultural land through a registered sale deed in the year 1946. However, despite the transaction being duly registered, the ownership details were never updated in the RTC (Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crops) or mutation records. Consequently, the revenue records still reflect the name of the family member of previous owner. However, we have obtained an Encumbrance Certificate (EC) which clearly shows that the land was purchased by my great-grandfather and continues to stand in his name. This inconsistency between the registered deed and the revenue records has led to confusion over rightful ownership and is now obstructing our ability to exercise ownership rights or initiate any further legal or agricultural processes related to the property.
