    They will protest, but ur mom's share is absolute.. it may takes years to dispose but you can make it end in 3.5 yrs.. You can get injunction/stay orders to protect ur current interest..

    Dear Client. As per Hindu Succession (amendment)Act 2005, even daughters are entitled for their shares in the ancestral property. You may issue a notice to this effect to your mother's brother calling upon him to partition the property in question by metes and bounds and thereafter you may file a suit for partition.

    You can sell undivided share.. Or file a partition suit.. even after mom passes away that share comes to u(her heirs)..
