There are five plots of joint ownership. Property 1 : registered in name of 4 brothers Property 2: reg. in the name of 5 bro P 3 : reg. in the name of my LATE mother P 4 & P 5 :reg. in the name of MY SON and other 3 brothers. In June 2019 my brother who is a lawyer has made a document on simple blank paper stating the value of property and who will get the land. IT WAS ALSO STATED THAT money if required to be paid to any brother will be given whenever P 3 will be sold. Since June 19 they did not let me sell the p3 land. The document was signed by ONLY 4 brothers including me. My SON has not signed the document. It was mentioned in the document that this decision is being taken after consulting the family. NOW the price of P2 has doubled But 2 bros who got p2 are not willing to pay the current price now..they are asking me to take the price mentioned in Doc.they are threatening me that As I have signed on the document I do not have any RIGHT on the P2. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?

Hi, File a suit for partition of property P2. You have a right to claim a share of the same.The Court will then declare that the property be sold and the proceeds from such sale would be divided equally among all 5 brothers. If you found this helpful, please rate us.
