My Grandfather has 25 Kothha land in Kolkata (Barasat Area),after demise of my uncle and aunty who was looking after the property (They both unmarried and had no children) adjustment neighbor has confiscated all the relevant papers (Ration Card/Adhaar Card/Death Certificate/Property Paper) and is not providing us with the documents though we are the legal heir. There is another legal heir who is a citizen of Bangladesh he along with the neighbor has cooked up the plan not to provide us the necessary documents and harassing us for years. Initially we thought we can settle the matter between ourself so did not take any legal action. But now there is no other option as we need the death certificate and other documents for preparing the Legal Heir document we intent to sell off the property .Can you please let me know what is the legal procedure we can take to get justice.
