you move to Railway Tribunal for Accidental claim with notices to Railway Board and ministry and in regards to your loan when after 90-120 days of non payment normally Banks clarify account as NPA after that Demand notice will be send by the Bank and after that Bank move for symbolic possession of immovable property in concern D R T in your case or for actual possession before DM, At this stage you Can also submit your oral Mercy submission and you Move In Srfaesi section 17 against possession and submit your mercy submission for payment of only principal amount and it's the discretion of the court to reduce interest and change into simple interest also
Loan amount is concern, if your father had been mortgaged any property to obtain the loan then as a legal heir you have to pay the loan amount to the LIC. The LIC may take action as per the Sarfaesi Act.If the mortgaged property worth is lower than the loan amount, the LIC Ltd can recover the loan amount by selling the mortgaged property and they cannot seek the balance amount from you.
