Hello sir, I want to know information regarding the change in caste of a female after marriage. I have done inter-caste marriage(nikah) in March 2017 with my girlfriend. I am a general category Muslim boy and she is OBC Muslim girl. She wants to retain his OBC caste to get benefit in the govt job entrance exam. She don't have voter id before marriege. But my applied for her voter id through aanganwadi with my surname. Now her surname is changed in voter id. Other id's are as it is. Q1) Does this change in voter id surname affect her caste. Q2)If Yes then what we can do to get her caste back to OBC. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

By marrying with a man of general category she cannot be deprived of her OBC benefit so what she uses your surname.

if she had avail obc quota prior to marriage, she can retain the same, but she should have an obc certificate for that purpose

U hv to verify whether ur wife's parents, brothers have documents / certificate of OBC . Before marriage her was there in ration card of her father.. Whether she has availed any OBC facility in schooling n had caste certificate of OBC..
