My sister married for the past 18 years has recently found concrete evidence of her husband cheating on her/extramarital affair with adultery on basis of WhatsApp chats & recorded calls. She now wants a divorce but her husband is not willing. Her husband is of the opinion that he is not neglecting his duties towards her or their child financially. However, my sister is not ready to accept this logic and wants a divorce. Kindly advise the legal options available to my sister in this scenario. Also, advise if she can apply for any protection to safeguard herself in case of any unpleasant situation/physical harm arising out of the situation in the future.

As you said she has concrete evidence of adultery against her husband. She should file a Divorce Petition against her husband using that concrete Evidence. She will get divorce. Willingness or not willingness does not mean. She can avail Police help in case of any physical assault.
