Protection From Suicide Abetment

I have been mentally and emotionally harassed by my husband for the past 25 years. Even to this day, he continues to slut shame me and my family on a daily basis. He has attempted to take my and my children's lives on at least 4 different occasions. I have been a victim of domestic violence on numerous occasions too. For the past 2 years, he has been living separately on the ground floor, cooking his own food and living his own life. He abuses all of us on a daily basis. My sons are earning well now and want to move out of the house we are living in. It is owned by my father-in-law but it would be passed down to my husband since all his siblings have already gotten their share in the property years ago. My only concern is to protect me and my children in an event that my husband attempts suicide (he has threatened to commit suicide at least 5 different times in the past). Before moving out of the house I want to make sure that I am protected. Please help.
