My wife had an extramarital affair and she doesn't want a divorce. I have only proof of her Instagram chatting where they were chatting about their past relationship and to meet again to have privacy together. She is denying to have a divorce. Kindly suggest me how to proceed here. Shall I go to court put divorce from my side or is there any other effective way to handle it. Please help me to get out of this critical situation. Thank you

Dear Kushagra If you want to have divorce with your wife you are entitled to present divorce petition in family court on ground of adultery, which is now a relevant ground to divorce, but not punishment as per Supreme Court judgement. Since, it was her past. If you want to give your wife a second chance to save the marriage and as per your statement that even your wife is not ready to have divorce. Hence, it is advisable to talk with her strictly about mending herself, have truly faithful towards you and discharge her all marital obligations.After all, choice is yours.
