A Query Regarding The Name In Caste Certificate.

I belong to the Scheduled Tribe (Plains), or ST (P) community. I was issued an ST caste certificate by competent authority. Now the problem is that in the caste certificate, my name has been written with a surname which is not my original surname, that is, not the one which is recorded in my Birth Certificate, Board Certificates, PAN Card, bank account statements etc. However, at the time of issuing me the caste certificate, the issuing authority also provided me a court notary which states that "although the two names are different, the person is one and the same person, that is, I." I would like to mention that the reason behind providing me the caste certificate with a different surname is that recently the issuing authority took the decision of issuing caste certificates only with surnames which it acknowledged as characteristic of people of this caste, i.e. our caste. Earlier, any person genuinely belonging to this caste was issued a caste certificate with whatever name they were legally known, irrespective of what their surname was. I myself have an older but authentic ST caste certificate with my original name. But this old certificate cannot be used now, because the certificate does not specify whether I belong to the "Plains" or "Hills" group of the ST community. A few days ago, I came to know in a government office that the court notary which I have as a supporting document of my caste certificate is not treated as a valid document for the purpose which I went to the office for. It is clear that the notary will not be accepted when I will be competing for Government jobs as an ST candidate. So, my queries are: (1) Will the court notary which I have be treated as a valid document in support of my claim of belonging to the ST community when I will be competing for Government jobs. (2) In case the notary is not treated as a valid document, what would be the best course of action for me.
