under article 19 of Indian constitution every citizen of India is having freedom to process any religion.Hence religion and name can be changed by publishing in government gazette evidencing concrete reason.

yes u can change caste as well in ur name but u couldnt be eligible under reservation benefit unless u originally belonges thrreto.

A simple affidavit signed by the 1st class judicial magistrate will do.....

आपको चाहिये कि इस आशय का शपथपत्र बनवा कर,नाम परिवर्तन का आवेदन सक्षम अधिकारिता में करे वह आपसे स्थानीय अख़बार में सहाया करवाने के बाद आपको नाम परिवर्तन प्रमाणपत्र जारी करेंगे।यह आप स्वयं भी कर सकते हैं।

First you have to change your name then get it published in the official Gazette through government press after an affidavit sworn before a Magistrate. Publish it in at least two news paper. You can not change your cast but you can convert to other religions. If reservation is in your hope conversion will not help you unless you originally belong to a reservation cast.
