I grew in a joint family of 2 grandfathers. We have a common home which is equally divided 50-50 from middle both sides without any wall..we share a common entrance and stair on our home. Now after staying over 60 years, one of my elder uncles wants to separate his floor by making a wall and hence wants us to construct a stair on our side as the current one is on his side and it will be blocked one he will make a boundary out of his side. Is it legal to block the common stair, isn't he should leave a small passing passage so that other parts of home members can get through?
