Hello as per the relevant provisions of law FIR in case of DV act is only registered when the complain reveals any cognizable offense most likely under Section 498A of IPC. Nevertheless since as a complainant you are eligible to register your case in any place where the cause of action arose or where you permanently or temporarily reside or work for gain as if employed so literally for you there is no bar if you choose to register your complain under DV in your new place of work. Meet a lawyer and he or she will assist you with filing a case before the concerned magistrate. Hope my suggestion will be of help to you.
