सबसे पहले जिसका पेटेंट लेना है उसकी पटेंटिबलिटी चेक करवानी पड़ेगी।यदि मिल जाती है तो पेटेंट के लिए आवेदन करना होगा।फिर 1 वर्ष का समय लगता है उसके बाद प्रकाशन होता है यदि कोई आपत्ति नही आती तो अगले 6 से 1 वर्ष में पेटेंट जारी होता है।15 हज़ार से 1 लाख तक खर्च होता है जो पेटेंट उपलब्धतता के आधार पर निर्भर होता है।
