I reside in Kolkata and have been married since last 2+ years. U have a marriage certificate but now I want to add middle name ( father's name) to it as I use the same name in all my documents. Could you please advice on the procedure of how to do it and how much time is required for the same. Thanks.

Dear Sir, You may file representation before marriage registrar and if for any reasons it is rejected then approach High Court.

u can add the middle name by using 10th marksheet with 2 other id proof.. like aadhar card.. driving licence. u have to go to ur SDM office E governance shell to add name/correction. You have to fill the form which they provide with old certificate with 10th marksheet with 2 id proof... it can be made same day but You can get it after 5-7 days from SDM office after signature of Authority
