Asked in Marriage
I am presuming both wives are alive, 1. second marriage is not legal during the lifetime of the first wife without dissolving the earlier marriage, therefore, your mother is not a legal wife of your father, 2. She can lodge a Domestic Violence complaint against him and can claim for the maintenance, etc
I agree with the legal opinions of above experts
a case of domestic violence against him can be filed .
Dear Karthik, Hope you and your family is safe. You can make an NC to the police station by asking the police to warn your father not to repeat the same. later on you can also contact and connect with me if you require any further legal guidance.
Dear Karthik, I understand your point as why you want to take legal action! But before going ahead in any action against your father, just talk with your mother and discuss everything. Because she has to fight everything in Court. If your mother says yes, then you can file a police complaint etc.
