You may better settle it amicably telling your husband that litigations are not good. But still if he continues with torture then call police and initiate all available proceedings in CRIMINAL law and Matrimonial law. If you are unable to pay fee of lawyer, then you may approach free legal aid available in each district Court for women. You may also approach Crime against women cell for lodging FIR. In INDIA, Laws are in favor of wife and whole life will be spoiled while fighting several cases till SUPREME Court. You are also entitled free legal aid in High Court and SUPREME Court aswell. My humble suggestion is to settle this issue amicably instead of ruining life in litigation only because of ego of one party.

firstly, I think you should try to sort out this problem with the help of your parents as a mediation process ( An attempt to solve problem with the aid of our elders in our family). File a complaint with CAW cell of your locality if mediation process is failed. Apart from this, file complaint under Domestic violence provisions and a divorce petition in family court. For seeking further details kindly contact me.
