My wife left my place 2 months back citing differences with my mom. Even after 3 rounds of talks, she is adamant that she cannot stay with my mom under 1 roof. Also the last time we spoke, she hinted at lodging a false dowry case. After a week, she lodged a complaint against me and my family at Vanita Sahayavani (Women protection forum) who called me for a round of counseling. My question is: 1. What should be my next course of action? Should I file an RCR? How may it help my case? 2. I have heard that Vanita Sahayavani may provide a character certificate which may cause a mess. How do i need to conduct myself? 3. Even after the counseling if we don't reach a common ground, what needs to be done? 4. What do i do if she decides to lodge a criminal case against my family?

file RCR or divorce petition as per your requiremenr and this is not the acceptable reason she is quoting that she cannot live with your mother.

if she lodges a criminal case then get anticipatory bail from high court. Thereafter file divorce on the ground of cruelty. Refer to latest SC judgement for Hindu husband's. She is not entitled to maintenance if she had left matrimonial home of her own free and without sufficient reasons.
