I am in a little bit of confusion regarding the registration of my marriage. I was born and brought up as a christian. Later on I found the concept of any religion to be absurd, and decided to be a rationalist and I wish to remain unaffiliated to any religion. Now my wife (we got married 2 weeks back) is an orthodox christian and she wishes to remain so throughout her life. So, when I register our marriage, how should it be done. Through christian marriage act, or special marriage act. If done through special marriage act, can I obtain the date of marriage exactly the same as we had originally married.

u have to register through Christian marriage act only. special marriage act couldn\'t come into force.

u can register as per Christians marriage act if u are married as per christian rituals in church. as u both are belonging to christian it cant be done in special marriage act
