Supreme Court Rules For Pratice And Procedure Of Court

Does the Supreme Court has the autonomy to make rules for the practice and procedure of the Court? Article 145 says subject to provisions of any law made by parliament with approval of president SC can frame rules for practice and procedure of court till now sc has framed its rules with the approval of the president. Can we say approval of president means SC has no autonomy in making rules for practice and procedure of court or for namesake it says approval of president as there is no role of union cabinet
