I applied for a passport and police submitted an adverse report against me as I was having a pending case against me. I disclosed that to the police officer but there was no option to disclose it in the application form so I haven't disclosed there. Police officer submitted an adverse report and now RPO issued a show-cause notice. What should I do now?

Better option would be to approach a lawyer for Drafting proper reply.

Appear before the RPO and file a reply to the show cause notice with valid explanation regarding all the relevant details of your pending Court case within the stipulated period of time.

If the show cause notice has a clause for a personal hearing, avail that. Otherwise give a detailed careful reply and in the reply, ask for a personal hearing to explain your case.
