The general principles of labour law though restricts the working hours maximum to eight hours but the latest guidelines of RBI and Ministry of Finance will control and govern the working. However, if the staff feels sore at the working of the organisation they can approach Hon'ble High Court through a Writ Petition for getting their grievance redressed. Please give me Rank Five and follow me after reviewing my resume and book a consultation for further discussion and explanation if required.

Irrespective of any firm.. 8 hours is the maximum working hours.. IT and IT enabled services are exempted by special legislation. However many corporates are illegally mandating to work more with the government support. However they mandatorily need to pay OT perks for them.. You need to approach High court to work out the remedy. Form a worker association and file a writ petition other than that no remedy in practical.. You may lodge a complaint before the labour commissioner and workout ur chance.. For further assistance please book for consultation and post your valuable review in my profile.

The conventions of the ILO have set 48 hours a week as the standard working time for employees and anything over that is considered excess. The Factories Act, 1948 of India also caps work hours per week at 48 hours, and the employer has to provide overtime wages if this is exceeded.
