Civil Procedure Code, 1908, is an exhaustive self contained process for civil litigation. Section 151 of the Code comes in to play when there is no specific provision for a specific situation under certain peculiar circumstances. CPC is a procedural law and contains exhaustive provision for each application and if any new application is to be filed it can be filed under section 151 of CPC if specific provision is not available. Section 151 of CPC reads: Saving of inherent powers of the code:- Nothing in this code shall be deemed to limit or otherwise affect the inherent powers of the court to make such orders as may be necessary for the ends of the justice or to prevent abuse of the process of the court.
