I sold my car 2 years ago and gave all documents to the person to transfer the vehicle under his name and did not keep any proof. He did not transfer vehicle and after some time sold to someone else. Now I have got a call from Bihar police that the vehicle has been caught transporting Alcohol and is still registered to my name. The driver is absconding. They said that the FIR is filed under owner name which is me and case will be against me. Please suggest what to do now.

if you sold your vehicle, you should send those documents to rto to evidence the sale.

why not transferred owneship. The purchaser is in fault.
