The court have discretion to take on its own, but normally they won't.. You have to file 340 r/w 195 crpc petition for perjury in the juvenile board itself.. Maximum punishment upto 7 yrs.. However the case should be very apparent
(typo error), not the court but the state and it's a 'No' for the state since it does not possess a common purpose, hence it's a 'No'.
All Depends upon the merits of the case...so for instance conviction could be within the boundaries of Two Years, could be Three or maybe even Seven Years and Upwards.For the second part if the question The most competent would be Hon'ble District Court and if required an appeal to The Hon'ble High Court.
