Dear Sir, Without filing a civil suit just asking questions you may not get any remedy in respect of interest. You may file a civil suit claiming interest which is implied on monetary transactions and you will win the case. For full procedure contact me on mobile through the Administrators of this Website.

Dear Shreya, I would like to know the following details : 1) How much money was lent to that person ? 2) In which year do you lent ? 3) When did you recovered the money with the help of police ? The reason for asking these questions is : 1) If the money is not so much, there is no point initiating a recovery suit against him as you have to bear the litigation cost and court fees( that is proportionate to the money lent) 2) The court would not entertain the suit much because you have already recovered the principal amount but we can definitely try for a civil suit for interest on that 3) There is a limitation period of 3 years in filing the suit Hope this clarifies, you may contact me for further clarification Regards, Adv. Kajal Bhatia Supreme Court of India
