Sir, the charges once submitted in the charge sheet cannot be added by the investigating authority or the victim. However, application for further investigation on relevant grounds can be made to the Magistrate after which the investigating authority will again have the power to investigate and add sections as necessary, subject to the decision of the court. For further assistance please contact me.

Hello Sir/Ma'am Only after filing of the charge sheet/report, under Section 204 of the Cr. P.C., the Magistrate takes the cognisance of the charge sheet. At this stage, the accused is summoned by the Court of the Magistrate to face the trial. Under Section 227 of the CrPC. The court may order a charge-sheet or indictment to be amended in any manner the court thinks necessary. An order may be made before or during a trial or hearing, unless the required amendment would cause injustice to the accused. Thanks Please rate if you find this advice helpful
