Imprisonment Period

Case filed u/s IPC 406,409,420,468,471 . The institution had filed the case after receiving full compensation (as per their calculation) via bank transfer, from the accused. They had filed this case after 6 months. The case is in trial now. 1. Is there any possibility where the accused will get acquitted? 2. If convicted, how the court will decide imprisonment?
