Dear Sir, Criminal cases cannot be withdrawn but only can be compounded and it depends upon charges alleged.
magistrate is not bound to allow you to withdraw your case. but if he deny then go tp the high court for quashing. if the sections of the complaint can be quashed then the high court will quash.
There two type of cases, 1 . Compoundable cases and 2. Non Compoundable case . You have define what is the case about in Copoindable cases , yes one can withdraw the case either by out of court settlement or through Mediation Centre or Lok Adlath.
