This is my response to you: 1. Is there any proof of defamation done in the society? 2. Can any neighbour give an affidavit that such rumours are being spread? 3. If yes then you have a very good case for defamation; 4. File a suit for defamation in the court and seek compensation as damages; 5. Also you can file a case of defamation to the nearest police station.
u can file case but at appropriate point of time......but u have many more other options......
for further assistance please book for consultation
Defamation arises only when someone defame u with motive ' to others '.. Mentioning in petition and saying in court doesn't amounts to defamation.. telling to others (more specifically in public / officemates/ or in public forum like facebook whatsapp etc ).. Though even oral utterance amounts to defamation its hard to prove in court.. Documental proof only will best serve the case.. Better get some recording or facebook/whatsapp posts and file a case..
u can file case but u need one evidence who can say that they r saing about u.
