I want to take divorce. My wife has left the house since April 2017. She was pregnant at that time. we have no communication till now. I don't know the opposite party is interested to take divorce or not and I have a child girl. 1. I have submitted protection representation to local police, DCP office, commissioner of police & home department a few days back. Is this helps me? 2. Can I send legal notice now or either I have to wait for 2 years I heard that two years of separation will be helping out to getting the divorce it will get a more smoothly. 3. My earning is 25k in the private sector. Please help me out from this thanks in advance.

Dear Sir, Just issue a legal notice and then file a petition for divorce on the ground of desertion and cruelty.

This is my response to you: 1. You can file for divorce since it is more than 1 year of your marriage; 2. Go for Mutual Consent Divorce which is speedier; 3. If not, then go for contested divorce; 4. File for custody and/or visitation rights.
