NoBroker Denying The Refund Of Token

negotiated a property in Bengaluru through NoBroker and asked the seller for 2 days to check my loan eligibility, which he agreed to. NoBroker then pressured me to pay a ₹5 lakh token, assuring in writing that the amount would be fully refunded in case of any loan issues. Based on this, I paid. After payment, they sent an MOU with undisclosed terms like sharing token with seller, undefined service fees, and clauses on personal backouts. I raised concerns and didn’t sign it. My bank later confirmed I can’t get the required loan. When I requested a refund, NoBroker pushed their partner banks at 1.2% higher interest. I declined, and now they’re denying the refund, calling it a “personal backout,” contradicting their own refund clause. They claim loan issues count only if caused by the property, which was never disclosed. I’ve filed an NCH complaint and need guidance on next steps as the matter is ongoing.
