Police Closed My Criminal Complaint Against Technician Forcefully

I filed a police complaint against a technician, Mr. Sagar Gite. He came to my home as a Havells/Lloyd service technician. I allege that he collected ₹4,000 from me for arranging an AC PCB and also took away my original PCB, saying it had to be submitted to the company. The PCB was not returned. Police have closed my complaint, saying it is a Consumer Court/Havells matter. They also say Gite has left the service partner and that Havells should file a complaint because he collected money using its name. I am the person who paid the money and whose PCB was taken. Please advise: 1. Can I independently pursue a criminal complaint against Gite without Havells filing a complaint? 2. Can police close it merely because Gite left the service partner or his phone is switched off? 3. Do these facts require investigation for cheating/criminal breach of trust or another offence? 4. What is the proper legal remedy against the police closure?
