Me and my wife got married in 2014 and she kept her maiden surname officially even post-marriage. Now, we are considering to change her surname and keep both her maiden surname and my surname in her legal name. When we file for a name change affidavit, we will provide registration of the marriage document as proof. Are there any other documents we need to provide and does she need to change her signature after her name is changed after this. And not giving an update of name change in the newspaper will bring any kind of problem in the future. Also, we have a son of close to 4 years of age. If we do not change my wife's surname at all, will there be any issues in the future for his admissions in school or making any legal document if both my and wife's surname are not the same.
