I had invested in a company in Dec 2020 and was expecting Principal+Interest in 45days. Until today, I have not received any payments and the cheque which was provided as security has also bounced. I was later told that the amount has been reinvested and the payments will be done based on the interest rate as agreed earlier for 45 days cycle. An agreement was made earlier for 45 days, however, once the cheque bounced all discussions have been verbal and no written commitment has been provided for the amount accrued till date. I have myself followed up and written an email to the proprietor and his accomplice (so called partner) on the payment release. The accomplice responds has responded over the phone today that they will release a partial payment through postdated cheque in June 2021 end. The remaining payment they will do the calculations and send it to me over an email for acceptance. I am sure the numbers will never match, the intention is questionable and are just buying time

The things are not going well in any manner. Please take up the matter hotly and pursue it properly and try to get the cheques afresh to maintain the continuity of the matter. Moreso don't allow the matter to linger on much. Wrap up the things early on your recovery. Hi, As per law, for cheque bounce cases, you need to send them a legal notice demanding payment within 30 days from receiving the information that the cheque has been dishonored. You need to immediately send them a legal notice, before this 30 days period is over. You can also sue them in a civil court for recovery of money, but it is advisable to go for cheque bounce case, as it is a criminal offence. If you like my answer, please rate me.

question is not clear. if you have cheque which bounced within last 30 days then immediately send legal notice to start cheque bounce case. Else you can file money recovery suit.
