I went to a shop and gave full advance payment for a pair of slippers 900INR which he said he wil make and i can collect it in max 1 day.. I wanted it for a function which was after 3 days.. The shopkeeper couldn't make the slippers on time and he said me to buy it elsewhere and he would refund my money on the next day.. This was on jan 10 that i went to order first time. i have the bill of jan 10th.. Till now he hasn't returned my money.. I went to the shop 4-5 times and also called him many times but he gave excuses and said he wil call me but he never did.. Can i file a case against him... Its not about the money.. Its about how we are treated

write a letter to the shopkeeper as a legal notice that if u will not return my money then I m filing a case in consumer court under various provisions

first try to go to police station if they don't take any action then u may go to consumer court.
