The Maharashtra government on March 6 announced that it is reducing stamp duty on properties by 1% for Mumbai, MMRDA Region and Pune for a period of two years starting April 1, I purchased a resale property in Pune and executed sale agreement on March 8 and sale deed on March 20 so I could not take the advantage of the 1% reduction in stamp duty. Is there a provision in place that will allow me to ask for a refund of 1% and whom to approach.
