Thats not a big deal mr. parminder. Simply get his address id and other id's required at the registrar office. The name imprinted over them shall be the primary name and as u said his name is something else on land records u can always use the term ' alias' and file an additional affidavit stating that both the names are of the same person. simple your work is done.
